Little Red Schoolhouse
Summer Enrichment Program
REGISTRATION OPEN!

Experience the same one-room schoolhouse that these children attended in 1910:

Each year the Cedar Falls Historical Society offers several week long enrichment classes at the Little Red Schoolhouse Museum, and this year five sessions are offered. Every year is unique with an emphasis in a different area of study. This year our emphasis will be Native Americans. We will investigate how they lived in our area of the midwest: their homes, clothing, food, games, and protection.

Tuition is $60 for one week, and the program is open to students who have completed first through sixth grades.

Between the Wars:
Cedar Falls in the 1920s & 1930s

The Cedar Falls Historical Society brings to life the era of the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression. Women gained the right to vote, prohibition was ratified and repealed, broadcast radio exploded in popularity, and Americans embraced the refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and automobile.

Experience Cedar Falls in the 1920s and 1930s through objects and images of the time: dresses, hats, toys, kitchen tools, radios, ads, photos, yearbooks, and more!

Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
