Our Summer at the Schoolhouse program is a fun and unique hands-on experience for kids. They get to travel back in time in our original one-room classroom. They’ll write on slates, sing old songs, play schoolyard games, and make creative crafts. With this year’s theme, they’ll get to explore fire, safety, and the history of firefighting.
This summer program is for students who have finished first grade through sixth grade. We meet from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday, for one week. Each Friday, we host parents, family, and guests at 11:00 am to show them what we’ve learned—and to serve them the hand-churned ice cream that we make each Thursday. It’s always a grand finale to a wonderful week of summer!
Sessions are $60.00 per child for nonmembers and $55.00 per child for Historical Society members. They are filled on a first come, first served basis. This summer’s sessions will be held the weeks of June 19-23, July 10-14, July 17-21, July 24-28, and July 31-August 4.
Registration begins March 20th for 2017. Forms are available to download here.
