Our dedicated donors are essential to our efforts to keep our heritage alive. They have helped us purchase the Victorian Home, save the Ice House (twice!), preserve prized oral histories, move the Little Red Schoolhouse to Sturgis Park, restore the Behrens-Rapp Station, build the Carriage House addition, catalog our collection of military uniforms, and teach future generations fascinating stories about Cedar Falls—just to name a few projects!
Please consider demonstrating your passion for history by giving to one of our special campaigns or by supporting our day-to-day operations:
Carriage House Campaign
After over 20 years of use as a gallery, archives and library, public meeting space, central offices, and home to the William J. Lenoir Model Railroad layout, our Carriage House addition is in need of refreshing. Please consider supporting our campaign to add new carpeting and flooring, repaint, and update lighting.
Frozen in Time Campaign
With the generous support of local community members, business owners, and foundations, we were able to rebuild our Ice House Museum after the 2008 floods and create a nationally-significant destination museum. We continue to raise funds to support the ongoing maintenance of the building, displays, and our related collections.
Keeping Our Heritage Alive Endowment Fund
The Cedar Falls Historical Society has been fortunate to have many forward-thinking members committed to local history. They have established a strong foundation through our endowment to ensure that we can continue to pass our history on to those that come after us. A donation to our endowment fund helps sustain our organization and our mission well beyond today.
We always welcome general, unrestricted gifts to help support the day-to-day operations of Cedar Falls Historical Society.
