Behrens-Rapp Filling Station/ Visitor’s Information Center

Yes, in the “old days,” attendants would pump your gas and check your engine oil when you stopped to “fill ‘er up!”  And they’d give you a map and directions to help you on your way.

This 1925 “filling” station recalls that time with visible glass pumps, vintage signage, and other unique gas station paraphernalia.  And the Cedar Falls Tourism and Visitors Bureau provides the directions with maps, brochures, and booklets to help visitors navigate the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area.

The station is an especially good stop for bike trail users with shady benches, trail maps, and an air compressor.
